Edna Lopez-Avila
I am a Finance Ph.D. candidate at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, specializing in empirical asset pricing with an emphasis on information economics, derivatives, and behavioral finance. My research explores the impact of financial technologies on investor trading behavior and its subsequent effects on asset prices.Â
I also hold a M.Sc. degree in Financial Economics from Columbia University, as well as a B.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences, from U.N.A.M. For six years, I worked as a quantitative researcher and trader at a central bank.
I will be in the 2024-2025 academic job market.
